Kebbe

 

Ingredients:

800 g very finely ground lamb leg or sirloin 
50 g onions
500 g cracked wheat ( soaked for about one hour in fresh water)
 few mint sprigs
Stuffing:
300 g Ground lamb meat ( any)
50 g onions
50 g shortening
100 g pine nut

Directions:

Put the first 4 ingredients in a food processor, and reduce to a paste.
to prepare the stuffing: fry the onions, pine nuts and the meat in the fat, until done.
In a baking pan ( shallow pan, sheet pan) press first a little of meat , spread all the stuffing over it, and then apply another meat layer over.
Bake at 200°C for 40 minutes or more. serve with yogurt or cucumber and yogurt salad.
